Our Sunshine Beach environmental warriors joined students from across the Sunshine Coast for the two-day Kids in Action environmental conference, exploring this year’s theme, Dusk to Dawn.

Our students became local Wallum spider experts, researching Wolf, Golden Orb and Net-Casting spiders. Thomas E, our Year 6 Environmental Leader, alongside Victoria P and Koa L (Year 6), and Siena B, Annabel S, Izzie S, Archie H and Boey B (Year 5), created fantastic displays and led workshops to share their knowledge with other students. They even showed participants how to make paper webs and spiders!

The conference also offered a range of environmental workshops and beautiful traditional performances by First Nations and Torres Strait Islander performers.

We’re proud of our students for sharing their knowledge, inspiring others and showing how young people can help protect our local environment.
