What are our beliefs? What do we value? ​

    • We believe we are each responsible for our learning and our behaviour.

    • We value being trusted and trusting others.
  • Quality expectations
    • We maintain a focus on quality and high expectations to achieve it.
  • Success
    • We believe in balancing success with challenge when designing learning experiences.
  • Choice
    • We incorporate choice into our programs to encourage ownership and commitment.
  • Optimism
    • We adopt an optimistic approach believing we can help make a difference in learners' lives.
  • Inclusivity
    • We believe all learners can learn and provide programs appropriate to an individual learner's needs.
  • Co-operation
    • We encourage co-operative rather than competitive learning environments.

We have asked the questions, 'What would we see teachers and learners doing/not doing?' and regularly examine our practices to ensure they reflect our beliefs and values.

Our values are a source of constancy of purpose and provide a premise upon which to act. e.g. 'Is what we're doing in line with what we believe?
