A 'Good Place To Be'
The sun symbol has been selected for Sunshine Beach State School because it symbolises one of our values, optimism, to promote a bright present and future for our learners and to acknowledge that school makes a difference in a child's life.
The slogan, a 'Good Place To Be', is a quote from the work of Dr W. Glasser called 'The Quality School'. Dr Glasser believes, as we do, that a school needs to be a needs-satisfying, joyful place to be for all - learners, staff and parents/carers. We also believe we are all responsible for making our school a 'Good Place to be'.
