Our junior girls' soccer team clinched the Sunshine Coast championship this week and are now gearing up to compete in Brisbane against other regional winners from South East QLD. The Sun-tildas emerged victorious in the Sunshine Coast final held at the Maroochydore soccer fields.
In a tight first game, they edged out Mooloolaba State School with a 1-0 win. Advancing to the grand final, they faced St Peters Community College, securing a thrilling 2-1 victory. The girls showcased outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Next up, they head to Aspley State High School to compete for the title of overall South East Queensland champions. They will be up against top teams from the South Coast, three Metro areas, and the Darling Downs in the final round on 26 August.
Congratulations to everyone involved!
