My name is Suzie Hedges (Thomson). I attended Sunshine Beach State School between 1987 and 1994. I am currently a Visual Art and Film and Television teacher at Churchie. Since finishing school I have studied, travelled, built a career, married, and studied some more.
My fondest memories of Sunshine Beach State School all involve musical adventures. From playing clarinet in the ‘woods’ with Miss Collis to jamming with Mr O’Brien during class. To this day I still remember all of the words to ‘Tip of my Tongue’ by Diesel.
My connection to Sunshine Beach Primary remains strong. The teachers continue to help me in my current career path and will remain mentors for the rest of my professional life.
Sunshine Beach State School lives every bit up to its motto ‘A great place to be’.
