Our local area

Our school was established in 1982. It is located in an enviable position in terms of biodiversity assets. We are positioned on the western boundary of Noosa National Park.  Our school is connected with natural and protected bushland and is also surrounded by side and coastal dune, heath and wetland areas.  It is a beautiful setting with landscaped local native, hybrid native and exotic plants.
Purpose built outdoor learning areas, are a feature of our learning environment as well as a thriving permaculture area. Our school community is very connected and committed to this  biodiversity eg. all native living things that belong to the ecosystem of the school environment. Our school has a high connectivity with adjoining natural conservation areas of Noosa and maintains active partnerships with Noosa Biosphere projects. Our Indigenous cultures history and relationship to our ecosystem is acknowledged and greatly valued.

Our school is extremely close to vital infrastructure and sporting and cultural facilities which enable families with young children to enjoy a quality lifestyle.  Our school is adjacent to Sunshine Beach State High school and the Noosa Community and Aquatic Centre.  In addition the Girraween Sports Centre and many local sporting clubs such as AFL, Rugby, Soccer, Tennis, Netball, Gymnastics are in close proximity to the school.  The neighbouring Noosa River also provides a magnificent recreational avenue, enabling  families to partake in a  range of water activities such as stand up paddle boarding,  sailing,  boating and fishing.  The Noosa and Sunshine Beach Surf Clubs provide many opportunities for families.
