A swimming program for year levels Prep - Year 5 occurs during Term 1 or Term 4. The aims of the swimming program are as follows:
to increase water confidence
to develop water safety
to develop basic strokes.
to develop skills for survival swimming.
Lessons are conducted at the Noosa Aquatic Centre.
Swimming is a compulsory component of primary school curriculum.
Students in Years 4-6 take part in swimming carnivals during Term 4.
Noosa District Primary Schools representative swim carnival occurs during Term 1.

Representative Swim Trial - 2026 District Swim Carnival
The 2026 Noosa District Swim Carnival will be held early in Term 1. Our team will be selected following a trial session on Thursday 27 November. Students born 2014, 2015 and 2016 are eligible.
Trial is aimed at experienced swimmers with expected standards available below.
Please note that students in Year 6 in 2025 are not eligible as they will access 2026 representative swimming via the high school system. Swimmers who are not available for this trial but wish to be considered for selection may submit some verified swim times.
Events are 50m and 100m in the four swim strokes.
Students must register for the swim trial. Further information will be emailed once registrations close. Register prior to 7 November.
