At last Friday's 'Bullying No Way: National Week of Action' event, students explored how meaningful connections contribute to a safe and supportive environment. After engaging discussions, they teamed up with their buddy classes to reflect on sources of connection in their lives. They wrote their thoughts on paper strips, which were linked together to form a vibrant paper chain. This visual symbolised how these bonds strengthen us and help us face challenges with resilience. Inspired by Glasser's principles, the activity highlighted the importance of strong, supportive relationships in creating a warm and resilient school community.
The event concluded with an inspiring talk from Principal Alison Welch, who emphasised the importance of having people to lean on in preventing bullying and fostering a compassionate community where everyone feels valued.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their commitment to creating a positive environment.
